BPUG® has been set up to help users adopt, use, share and shape the application of the Cabinet Office’s P3RM products, PRINCE2®, MSP®, M_o_R® and P3O®. We achieve this through a programme of newsletters, regional workshops on a wide variety of topics, an annual members conference, online forum, provision of downloadable resources and by involving users in the process of feedback to the Cabinet Office.
Our regional workshops give you the opportunity to network and to discuss matters of interest to you with other users. Members receive a number of free workshops each year and find these of immense benefit.
BPUG WORKSHOP - Thursday 26th September 2013
Venue: Met Office, Exeter - 10am - 4pm
This workshop examines the concept of the unexpected consequences of project outcomes, using the terminology of "Blowback" first coined by the CIA and explored by the American authors Chalmers Johnson and Tom Weiner in their book "Blowback" published in 2004, as well as the subject of a new book "Blowback in Business" by Andrew Holmes, to be published in November 2013. We will be exploring if and how unintended consequences can be mitigated in projects and programmes and what role PRINCE2/MSP might play in the process.
